Blog Post: Love Wrapped in Every Detail

One of the longest things it took me to get comfortable with as a business owner?

Packaging.

At first, I didn’t give it much thought. I used standard cake boxes. They were functional, simple, and easy to find. But deep down, I knew they didn’t really tell my story. I didn’t know what I wanted it to look like in particular. I just knew what I had wasn’t quite it.

Over time, I started experimenting. I moved from plain boxes to window boxes. Then came ribbon. Then came bows. Then came the realization that every detail, no matter how small, is a reflection of who I am and where I want Lady B’s Treats to go.

It wasn’t always easy. I felt unsure, constantly questioning whether the choices I was making actually reflected the vision I had in my head. I knew I wanted my brand to be beautiful and intentional… but first, I had to understand what that even meant.

So I prayed. I asked God to help bring the vision He placed in my heart to life. And, as He always does, He reminded me—no one is more creative than the Creator.  From that point on, the ideas started to flow.

Funny enough, in the same store where I once bought my plain cake boxes, I stumbled on a better option, something that felt more me.  I wasn’t afraid to switch things up, though the price difference definitely made me raise an eyebrow. Still, I knew if I wanted to grow, I had to start investing like it.

Eventually, I stopped looking at my business based on where it was and started preparing for where I want it to go.  That switch didn’t go unnoticed. Customers saw it. Felt it. Responded to it. Because, like it or not, a package is half sold by the presentation.

Once I embraced the new look, everything started to feel right. It fit the brand. It fit me.

Every ribbon, the placement of the wax paper, the quality of the materials—it all spoke to where I am now, and where I’m headed. Yes, every bow is tied by hand. Every glue dot placed with intention. Every detail, an act of love.

That love didn’t come from nowhere. It came from years of watching, working, and learning. Back in high school, I had the chance to work in a boutique, a place that taught me just how much presentation matters. That early experience shaped how I approach my business today. It taught me that beauty doesn’t have to be loud, but it should be thoughtful.

Because when a customer opens a box from Lady B’s Treats, I want them to feel that it was made for them, not just baked but wrapped with care.

Truthfully, no one ever complained about my early packaging. Some customers even joke that I could wrap their cookies in a paper bag and they’d still enjoy every bite. But for me, it’s about more than just taste; it’s about the experience.

From the first mix of dough to the final ribbon on the box, it’s all part of the story. It’s all love. And that love? It’s intentional.

TIP: Fine-Tuning the Personal Touch

Think of packaging as the first page of your product’s story. Choose colors, materials, and textures that align with your values. Let them feel the care before they taste the love.

That’s the heart of Lady B’s Treats, literally. Every bow tied, every box chosen, and every detail refined is an extension of who I am. You’ll even find my initials —LBT—tucked into a heart, because love truly is in every bite.

With Love,

Lady B.
